Study Tips & Strategies

Set Clear Goals

Break down your study sessions into manageable chunks. Focus on one topic at a time and track your progress in the Learn Centre.

Study Consistently

Study for 20-30 minutes daily rather than cramming. Regular practice helps with long-term retention of the facts.

Test Day Strategy

Read each question carefully. Eliminate obvious wrong answers. Don't spend too long on one question—you have 45 minutes for 20 questions.

Official Study Booklet

The primary study resource for your citizenship journey is Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond. This comprehensive booklet contains all the essential knowledge required for the official test.

Important: The official examination is only available in English. However, you can read the study material in other languages:

Australian Values Get Their Own Page

Because all 5 values questions must be correct to pass, we've written a dedicated guide just for that section.
